The official Day II had more microbiology and biochemistry lessons in
the morning (reliving the glory of Spring 2012. Not that I'm
complaining).
Evening had us visiting museums of the Abbey and the house of a wealthy person.
This post will be more of a picture spam of beautiful old stone things. And tourists.

Miniatures!
Models! Wee blocks of wood depicting an old, old abbey that once stood
proudly in the region! A finger pointing in reverence! |
|
A more impressive view of the model. It looks very neat and polished. |

I think this is
what's called a 'capital' of the column. I used to know these things.
Anyway, notice the very nice floral decorations. |

It's probably not the original door, but it's a cool-looking door, mind you |

A capital on music-making |

A capital on wine-making, the one-fourth of our course description |
The following pictures will be from another museum, mostly of the carvings of fantastical beasts:

Man-Bird-Crocodile |

Panther-Bird-Serpent | | | |
